Details (updated 2023):

There is a flourishing Sculpture Culture winding along the picturesque Main Street of Yinnar. Home to a series of permanent sculptures that set the scene for its eclectic arts community, the biennial Gippsland Sculpture Exhibition (GSE) takes over Main Street and Arc Yinnar over March and April every two years for seven amazing weeks.

This popular juried exhibition, held over seven weeks, attracts Australia's most recognized interior and exterior sculptors. Working with a host of mediums, transforming steel, stone, wood, ceramic, and bronze into one-of-a-kind masterpieces. Inspired by the calibre of sculpture exhibitions worldwide, Nicole Allen, one of the Founders of GSE, visualised the streets of Yinnar embracing a Sculpture Culture - the idea took form and, the rest is history.

Attracting thousands of visitors, there are over 120 sculptures, demonstrations for young and old, artists talks, refreshments, local musicians, entertainment, and a good ol' fashion chainsaw carving demonstration - something for everyone. Attracting hundreds of applicants, each year’s the prize money has grown to reflect the high quality of work created by emerging and established artists.
